After years of providing services to the customers about the nearby restaurants by giving various information like Menu, Ratings and Reviews of various customers who have visited the place, Finally Zomato decided to start its own Food Ordering Network among these restaurants.
Despite having various established competitors on the Food Tech, It didn't take much time for Zomato to pick up the pace of online food ordering business as Zomato was a well known name or Brand for foodies.
With a lot of marketing efforts from competitors like Foodpanda (Exact same model as of Zomato) and diversified competitors like Swiggy, and Tinyowl who take cares of food ordering as well as delivery, Zomato is still the go to portal for food ordering and restaurant information for most of us.
As recently Zomato has started the food ordering portal, it has taken various initiatives to reach out to customers like TV ads as well as the referral system where the customer who have used zomato would be able to provide his/her Zomato referral code to the new user and the new user would receive Rs 100 off on their first order (Min order value is Rs 300).
